How it works

From column dimensions to concrete volume

Choose a column shape, enter the dimensions of one column, and the calculator multiplies its volume by the number of identical columns before applying waste.

Rectangular column formula

Multiply width by depth by height using compatible units.

Volume per column = width × depth × height

Circular column formula

Divide diameter by two for radius, square the radius, then multiply by π and height.

Volume per column = π × (diameter ÷ 2)² × height

Multiple identical columns

Dimensions apply to each column. Quantity multiplies the individual volume. Calculate groups with different shapes or dimensions separately.

Waste allowance

Waste is shown separately and added after the combined base volume. The calculator does not prescribe a universal allowance.

Cubic feet, cubic yards, and cubic meters

US results emphasize cubic yards and retain cubic-foot audit values. Metric results use cubic meters. Switching systems preserves physical dimensions.
